"It was nice to have a pool for the kids. But it is really dark. The staff is really nice and friendly. But for the price the hotel needs to update. It could be set iup to have more inviting public spaces. Sections such as the salon and the pool are very dated. Staff is very friendly and helpful which goes a long way."

We were met at the gate and given a tour of the house and grounds and shown the many amazing antiques and the unique salons. "The hotel itself was nice in a very modern way but bar service was somewhat lacking with the sole person running the place disappearing for long periods leaving us with empty glasses and eventually giving up waiting for further drinks, both in the afternoon after arrival and later in the evening after eating."
