We stayed here for a family wedding at Danby Castle, 9 miles away. A lovely place, perfect location. Clean, comfortable with friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend & stay here again.

Our 3rd stay at the property. The staff will always go the extra mile. The rooms are lovely and stocked with the little extras that make you feel welcome. The food and the service is excellent and good value. My only gripe is the the amount of dog faeces in the garden. Two of our party managed to get some underfoot. Next day it had been covered over with sand, not sure that was the best course of action!

Great Country Inn
We had a really lovely stay at the Ellerby, the staff were the friendliest that I've ever met in a hotel. They can't do enough for you, always with a smile and a chat. Food was great too, Everywhere was spotlessly clean, and it was extremely dog friendly, both our dogs had a sausage each for breakfast every day! Hotel isn't 5 star luxury, but it was certainly one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. We loved it and can highly recommend.

The location was lovely. Staff and food excellent. Only problem was our noisy bedroom. We could hear toilets, showers, doors closing etc etc in both rooms adjacent to ours so we were woken early every morning.

Cannot praise the Ellerby highly enough , We stayed overnight and from the minute we walked in the door to the moment we left, the staff were excellent , the room was excellent and the food was delicious. A real gem and dog friendly. We were made welcome from the moment we arrived. Lovely room with an enormous bed, well fitted ensuite shower room. Excellent evening meal with a good choice if drinks available. Breakfast was great and our spaniel loved the sausage that they gave to her. In short thoroughly recommended and we will definitely go back.
