"Stayed here while visiting Cal Poly. Staff was very friendly, easy check in and out. Room was clean and has all the essentials. Bed was really comfortable. Expect to hear people upstairs walking around if you're staying on the first floor. The place can improve in terms of utilities--the water pressure was weak and the side table light would flicker/dim when you use the blow dryer:). But overall I'd recommend."

"We stayed for a quick one night getaway. We arrived around 6:45 and a sign was displayed at the check in window -returning at 7:10. I was a bit annoyed as I wanted to get into our room and relax from a long day of traveling. The front desk lady returned and was pleasant and polite. She helped us reprogram the tv in our room. We enjoyed the hot tub to relax and continental breakfast. The bed was a slightly comfortable. We should stay again. "

"While visiting Cal Poly, we stayed at the Sands Inn, and we enjoyed it tremendously. The hotel was very nicely kept, the location is terrific for access to both the university and the San Luis Obispo downtown, and the staff was very responsive. The breakfast was also very nice. "Our stay was great. Love the walking distance to the beach. Very convenient kitchenette in our room since we have babies and frequently needed to wash bottles and pump parts. Beds were comfy. Space in shower wasn’t too crowded which was good so I can bath my kids after being in the sand. Parking is tight especially if you have a bigger vehicle. Overall it’s a decent place to stay without hurting your wallet."
