"We stayed at the Posada del Mar three different times during our month in the Galapagos and really enjoyed our visits. It is on a quiet street, yet conveniently located near restaurants, shops and the Puerto Ayora harbor. The delicious breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the harbor. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean, with air conditioning, a private bathroom and lots of hot water. The staff is very friendly. Carlos and his wife were wonderful and let us store our luggage at the office during the hours between checkout and our ferry departures and arranged for a taxi to take us to the Baltra airport. "Captain Max B & B is great. Located in a quiet area but only a few blocks from the center of restaurants, shopping, and the pier. The amenities are great like all day coffee/tea bar, filtered water, a safe in the room, and a carafe of drinking water in your room. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. My only regret was that I couldn’t stay longer. This place is good value for the price. It is a must stay place if you are in Puerto Ayora."

Additionally, they provide free clean cold/hot drinking water and coffee for guests downstairs, which was a nice touch. "There was a hammock in the room - we loved it. Overall a great stay. The staff was friendly and the space was comfortable. It was difficult to get a taxi to the pier in the morning and the walk isn’t too far (15-20 min) but we had heavy bags so it was inconvenient. Other than that it was a nice place to stay. "
