Liked: quaint tavern hotel. Breakfast and service was excellent. Room was comfortable enough. Bathroom was large with good water pressure. Disliked: not really a dislike, but the small room which we had was indeed small. Not a complaint, but an observation.

The property was clean, had great shower with nice hot water. Lots of extra snacks in room. No elevator, lots of stairs, you are able to keep luggage by checkin in a separate room. Has a great restaurant in it, food was amazing and the staff was friendly. This hotel is Within 5 minutes from cruise port

Fairly Close to the train station and to the port. Comfortable room. Staff was very helpful, with arranging taxis and giving directions. The food is also amazing. The included breakfast is wonderful and well worth the eat.

Had a quick but great stay at the white star. Staff friendly and welcoming, room clean and comfortable. Not the best view but not staying long enough to worry about that. Great location to get around. Wonderful breakfast. Would stay again.

3rd stay here and each time have had great service, food and bevvies. It is a bit of workout going up the stairs, but guest room character, amenities and cleanliness make up for it.

Quant property. Excellent service. Very clean. Nice bed, bedding and towels. Abundant breakfast very good. No elevator but we were on the first floor and not much room for luggage in small room. Would recommend this nice property and would stay again.

Really enjoyed staying in this quirky pub … I was advised about no lift so happy to store a big case downstairs and just take a small case upstairs. Comfy bed (pillows linen) Breakfast fantastic and lovely staff

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very efficient and friendly. It is a good location, particularly if you are going on a cruise. The location has several restaurants and bars that can be noisy at night.

A superb room, we were lucky to have the room at the back of the property, after Southampton being in the Championship Playoff and winning spirits were high around the front of the building. There were a couple of really nice restaurants just a stones throw away, although we could have enjoyed the food in the The White Star. Parking is plentiful around Southampton but don’t get mislead by the notice of no return booking after four hours, the guy on reception advise us to rebook the hours using our phone. The pub and restaurant is decorated well and staff very polite. We were on the very top floor, and really happy with our room, nothing special with the view from the room but it was peaceful. Coffee and tea making facilities, and some little treats on the side and fridge. What an absolutely amazing hidden gem. We would recommend and definitely book again. Thank you White Star Tavern.

Great place to stay with historic feel and lots close by. Staff was cordial and helpful. Good breakfast offered. Bear in mind there is no elevator so luggage carrying is a but dicey if you have heavy bags.

Staff service was excellent. Breakfast buffet and menu was very good. Room size was comfortable. Area around Tavern was lively but the noise was not excessive and did not detract from sleeping. A gem of a place, and we have stayed in many but this was for the type of accomodation one of the best experiences we have had.

Room was clean, tidy, bed comfy nice extra touches of free lager and chocolates and coffee selection. Customer service was excellent, Kyle was excellent throughout helped with taking our luggage to our room, putting luggage in safe storage after checking out and arranged a taxi to the cruise terminal 10 out of 10 for customer service.
