"Beautiful property, lovely rooms, fantastic bathroom, amazing shower. Staff was very sweet. They did their best to accommodate us vegans but it was tricky - vegetarians will be absolutely fine here but there is a lot of (unnecessary) surprise egg in things. Breakfast was a no go for vegans but for others I think we'll be excellent. Luckily there's an outstanding vegan restaurant Yen a short stroll away. I don't think many pure vegans come here but the staff did really try. They even prepared a very unusual high tea for us. Nice pool table. Tried to swim in the pool but was too chilly! Really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend. "

"The owners could not have been more responsive to every need. If you visit Sa Pa / Fansi Pan, you must stay at the Clay House. I have rarely relaxed to this extent, and the food / drinks were outstanding. The only negative comment about the Clay House, is that we had to leave."

"Sweet little independent hotel in the heart of Sapa. Owner is very friendly and goes out of her way to assist - she walked down the hill to meet us at our taxi and helped carry our bags up on arrival. Rooms are clean and beautifully decorated with hmong linens. Owner can help book guides for hikes and trekking to minority villages with local hmong female guides. Very reasonable prices for a quiet, clean hotel not overloaded with tour buses of tourists. Breakfast is included and cooked fresh for you each morning."
