"This was our last night in Costa Rica. Rather than drive in (about 3+ hours), we opted to stay near the rental car/airport. On arrival, we were greeted by the owner/host. We were granted parking inside the gate, which made us feel welcome and safe. We were completely satisfied with our room. Although it had 2 separate rooms, each with their own bed and air conditioning, we only needed the one room, and loved the space. It was so convenient to a market (right across the street) and places to eat,...

"Beautiful property overlooking San Jose, close to Poas volcano. Property is a bit primitive...sort of between glamping and a traditional hotel...gets cold at night. Space heaters provided but bring warm pj's and socks. Breakfast was great. If you want a luxury get away, this is not it. If you are looking for something unique, quiet, on a beautiful property and don't mind foregoing some luxury's, this is a great choice....also loved the cows and a donkey next door and a couple of nice dogs...

"This is a fantastic hotel to get just a little out of San Jose but still be close enough in to get to the airport within 45 minutes. The gardens and birds are spectacular. For those who love birding, look for Eduardo in the gardens who knows where literally everything is. Parking here can be tight so be warned. Staff is wonderful, the beds are great and the shower has actual hot water and water pressure. "
