The gentleman at the front desk could not have been friendlier. He honestly made the stay worthwhile. The breakfast was also excellent, and the selection was great for such a small hotel. The room was OK with plenty of room, but the bed was awful; the floor might have been more comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay. The only issue I had was the AC in our room 102 was not adequate. I advised the staff. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was good size. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Above average for breakfast buffets.

Here is a 5 stars family business. The brothers are so kind, the services outweigh the price by a large margin. It is well situated, not far from public transportations and highways, in a safe neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay there. Thank you!

The gentleman running this established are incredible. They were so helpful in every way and the property in and of itself was very quaint and the courtyard was great for spending the evenings in after a long day of walking. I wish I could give it more than five stars! Thank you!!!

We didn't receive our room number and code before we arrived. There isn't a lobby area. Fortunately a person was leaving the building and we were able to get in. The cleaning person called and the person she talked to emailed us the correct code. We did arrive before check-in time so maybe we would have received the code if we arrived later. No place to store luggage if you arrive early. Very small bathroom in our room.

Staying at Chiara Lodge was an absolute delight. The location was perfect, just a short walking distance like 5 minutes to take the bus and train to Venice. The room was so comfortable and clean that make me feel I was home. It was really a peaceful retreat. I highly recommend Chiara Lodge for anyone looking for a charming and convenient place to stay in Venice. Thank you so much to the host, I don’t remember his name but he is the best!

Good location, close to train station and bus stop for commuting to Venice. Room was comfortable, clean and newly updated, although on the smaller side. Safe and AC in the room were appreciated. Breakfast was very good- some thing for all tastes, from scrambled eggs & bacon to fresh fruit salad & yogurt. The Vero Espresso/Coffee machine was a nice perk. Staff were very helpful (provided restaurant recommendations & transportation directions) and friendly. Bus to Venice has a stop just at the end of the street- about a block away. Very convenient.

Wonderful Hotel and Amazing Hospitality
We stayed in Chiara Lodge from Sept 19-23, and Sept 28-30, 2023 and we highly recommend this Hotel. We cannot thank enough Chiara Lodge and its owners Yvan and Davy for the warmest welcome, great hospitality, cleanest room, amazing buffet spread --and all around assistance in making our stay in Venice a most pleasant one! Booking and communication: Booking was very easy using Hotels.com. Davy responded promptly to my requests such as request to leave our luggage for early check-in/late check-out; assistance for hotel transfer, etc. Location: Chiara Lodge is in Mestre, Venice-- a 10-15 minutes train ride or by bus to Venice. It is so convenient to get to the train station- just a short walk away. Much closer is the bus station- and the bus tickets can be bought from the Tabacchi stores on the main street for 1.5 euro (some sell for 2 euro). There are several restaurants/cafes and a big grocery store nearby on the main street- so convenient for snacks and drinks. Rooms: The rooms are in excellent condition- so clean and comfortable; the bathrooms are big and amenities are good. Breakfast: A wide choice of breakfast fare is available-several coffee selections, pastries, fruits, and hot food like eggs, bacons, and sausages. It is a filling breakfast enough to fuel you for early dinner. The owners: Davy and Yvan are the most hospitable hosts-they will do and make everything possible to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Thank you so much! We miss you already! ~Marjie

Most wonderful stay & amazing staff at Chiara!
We certainly LOVE Chiara Lodge and its staff! If only we could stay much longer! The location is so strategic— you can walk in 5-15 mins to major attractions. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby! The hotel is in top shape condition, the breakfast offering is top- notch, but most important— the staff are the best! We have stayed in 4 hotels while on a two week vacation in Nprthern Italy and the staff cannot be matched - in terms of friendliness, prompt service, and willing ess to help snd serve. I would like to particularly mention and thank with utmost gratitude— Nicola and Kera at the front desk; Gabriela, Anna and Ivy at the breakfast area, and also Ruben. Nicola and Kera are friendly, welcomiing and efficient— great assets to the Hotel! Anna and Ivy are very prompt and serve with a smile. Ruben is very friendly which puts guests at ease. We will stay at Chiara Lodge when we come back to Florence and highly RECOMMEND to family and friends.
