Arrived in town at 2pm. Had to wait until 4 pm to check in. That was inconvenient. When we did check in the cable did not work. The channels would come in and out but most of the time the service was unavailable. The room was clean. Not my preference of location. We only stayed one night. I’m not interested in returning.

The indoor/outdoor pool was very nice and not crowded at all during the day. Kids loved the arcade and the games were all 0.50-1.00 per play, so not as expensive as some arcades. Had a good balance of classic games, prize games, and newer simulators. Lots of nearby dining options. Only negative is the refrigerator didn't really work (but the hall icemaker does and we had a cooler) and there was no microwave in the room (but it one in lobby).

I did not like the fact that I chose this property because of the review of the property being renovated and everything new. The first room I was given the toilet was dirty and did not work, the carpet was dirty, there was dust over the beds and the windowsill had a quarter of an inch thickness in dust. I requested for a renovated room, and the room I was given was not renovated. The carpet looked better, the toilet was dirty. The next day I informed the Desk that there were ants on the desk. A maintenance man game and sprayed around the desk. I was very disappointed with reserving at DoubleTree by Hilton Williamsburg. It was over priced and I will not stay there again.

Based on photos and previous reviews I had higher expectations for sure. The lobby areas are done up really nice however the rooms are just eh, average. The grab and go market area is way over priced, our food for breakfast we got there was average at best, however service was great. The room was not the cleanest, there were random holes in the wall for sprinklers (or something), curtains both for the room and bathroom were filthy, toilet was super loud and “refilling” every 30 mins or so waking me up in the middle of the night. AC was also loud and woke me up several times. Again, it’s older and dated and you can tell where theres been attempts at updating but for the money, I wish I spent the extra $20 to stay beachfront somewhere else.

Deceptively expensive. Don’t be fooled by the room rate. Self parking $10 and breakfast was expensive for what it was. The room was essentially non descript.

The bathroom was dirty, the bed covers looked old worn and unwashed, the coffee maker flooded out water from the bottom, could never use it. I told house keeping in hopes of getting a new pot that is usable but they told me to tell the front desk…but you’re housekeeping…ok. So Starbucks was the answer. The pool was warm but inside was super loud from the equipment and the outside pool looked like it could use skimming it had a lot of debris in it. The food menu options were ok and what we ordered was actually very good. The ev charging situation, well unless you’re a Tesla or you have a charge cord you’re out of luck. The proximity to Busch Gardens is how we ended up there but I can say with certainty I will not be staying there again.

$10 parking fee is ridiculous in a rural setting. The TV wasn’t plugged in. Lobby and especially the hallway was very cold. Supposedly to save energy the lighting in the room is not bright enough. With the new bulbs the difference between a 7 watt and a 9 watt bulb can be impressive. Upping the light bulbs slightly and adjusting the heating/cooling in the lobby and hallways would make more sense. This is my third Hilton in three months; all have the same problem.
