"We had a two night stay in a suite. The room was very clean and spacious with good facilities. We had breakfast and evening meal on both days and were very pleased with the food and service we received. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you, whether it was reception, restaurant, bar staff or housekeeping. We would recommend this hotel. "

"Clean and comfortable, good shower, and breakfast. Very impersonal though with little human contact. Check in is via a key box, breakfast was ordered by text the night before. Apart from the standard "brown or white toast" and "is everything ok?" at breakfast, no one from the B&B spoke."

"Overall, a really good stay and excellent value for money. The decor etc. is quite dated and a little tired in places, but comfortable and generally clean, and the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming. A great breakfast with good quality ingredients. Some attention to detail with cleaning would be helpful - eg some mould in shower, and bathroom fan grill quite grimy, the odd cobweb, and some accumulated dust in nooks and crannies. "There was a wedding on the night we stayed so was very busy and staff were too busy attending to them. We felt a little in the way. Our stay was good enough for what we needed, room was small but comfy, our bathroom was in need of an update as very little room to place anything, shower was nice and powerful. Breakfast was freshly prepared but not a true Scottish breakfast as not loin square sausage. Would stay again though if in that area as convenient to train station and restaurants."

"The approach to the hotel there are loads of cigarette ends by the door way. Lots of rubbish in the bushes generally untidy. The pub itself externally is 3 different colours and the porchway roof had tiles missing "
