"This was perfect for three sailing buddies just returned from Croatia late at night who needed a simple overnight stop somewhere just 10 mins from the Gatwick North Terminal. The triple bed room, although compact, was very clean, comfortable and adequate. Cooked brekkie was very good. And all at a very low cost for accommodation and brekkie! Staff were very pkeasant. Highly recommended!!!"

"My husband has been going up to London for Merchant Navy Day for a number of years now, and has always stayed at City Stay for at least the past 12 of them. Classed as a budget hotel it is more than adequate for his needs. 2 minutes from the tube to Kings Cross Station it is ideally situated. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is a reasonable size, but being an older building the stairs to the upper floors are not the widest! "It was a very small room but we knew that going in however it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a continental type including toast, cereal, yogurt, coffees, tea and juices which was fine with us. We did find the room warm but were able to cool it off using the fan and opening the window in the evening as it was September and so not really hot during evening. The decor is definitely dated including the carpets. You do hear noise from other rooms but not an...

"This truly is the best hotel I've stayed in on my many visits to London. The breakfast has a good choice of full English, cooked to order, and continental, the little pastries are delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and they are so polite I had a separate toilet and shower which, in itself, wasn't a problem. The slightest inconvenience was nowhere to wash hands after using the toilet until getting back to the room. Once I realised I used a wet wipe...
