"The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. It is not exaggeration to say that Japan hotels are above average but Tokyu Stay is on another level. The amenities are plentiful and the neighbourhood is quiet and very close to the metro. The staff are professional and immediately actioned on the requests. I will stay there again if I am in Kyoto."

"Room was well presented, clean and big enough for a few nights. Staff were friendly and kindly spoke English to us. Lots of disposable amenities available in the lobby. Near to transport options and close to the centre of town. Rooms cleaned every few nights with the aim of being eco friendly and was fine with us. Negative: Like all Japanese hotels we’ve stayed in there is no closet or places to put clothes."

"My husband and I LOVED this place. It’s such a cute and quiet area but has a lot of food options around. The Pokémon center is also down the street. The staff was amazing and so kind! We have to make a special shout out to our guy Terry who was so sweet the minute we walked through the door. He even gave us a gift for our honeymoon! Do not hesitate to book this place. We definitely will next time we come to Kyoto!!! "

"Extremely walkable to see many nearby attractions. So many great restaurants in the area. Staff were so friendly and kind. The rooftop bar with foot bath onsen and great views was such a treat and they offer a free drink ticket per guest per day. We were up there every day. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. 👌 **Please note: the onsen in the hotel has make and female separate areas, no swimsuits allowed and no tattoos. (Cover up stickers can be purchased from hotel) "
