"Love this hotel, the Rooms are the biggest in Liverpool, the beds are comfortable but I always take my own pillows when travelling. At the base of the toilet there was some staining but, other than that, the room was clean. The restaurant food was nice but I’ve had better steaks. The staff in the bar/lounge area are not very attentive and each time I have used that area I have needed to go to the bar to place orders for food and drink despite there being ample staff and very few customers. "Very clean and the staff are very friendly. Was not happy with the evening meal. Caesar salad was all lettuce and a tiny bit of cheese and the Club sandwich I had was not very nice, as a thick chicken fillet made it very awkward to eat. The chips were very greasy. I didn't want to complain to the staff, because I didn't want to ruin the occasion. The waitress was very friendly, though, and always asked if everything was ok. "

"A spectacular looking hotel in an historic building. You can normally judge why your stay will be like based on the welcome you receive at check in and Darren who checked us in couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Nice bar area, albeit small, and whilst the rooms are not massive they are comfortable and well furnished. The location next to Lime Street Station and St John Centre where parking is just £6 for 24 hours is another major draw. "

"I ordered a pizza from room service at 10:45pm and when it hadn’t arrived by 12:15am I rang them to check up on it and they said they had no record of it. It took 20 minutes for it to turn after that. Which was fast service but we were really tired at that point and just wanted to sleep. Overall though food was good, service other than that was great and really friendly staff "

"Great location overlooking river Dee and racecourse. Amazing views from restaurant! Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Rooms clean, tidy and functional.
