"The cottage is in a lovely location, very close to Filey, with some lovely walks around the village. The quirky Ship Inn (100 yds away) provides wonderful food and a very warm welcome. The 'little Stithy' cottage was very comfortable, however, we felt it didn't need the kitchen in the same room. We were kept awake most of the night from the humming of the fridge and the bright timer light on the microwave! A tea towel remedied this. It states on this web site that the cottages are dog friendly,...

"Great break away. Lovely property in good location. Clean & tidy. downsides were- terrible mattress in main bedroom- needs changing , no dish drainer by kitchen sink, no instruction on how to use tv & extractor fan on cooker was not working but man who maintains property sorted this out quickly, some decent knives that can cut would be a bonus & no potato peeler !"

"The cottage is nice and kept well, close to the centre of filey and a pub round the corner witch was very nice and friendly, pity about the parking as you cant get close to the cottage with all the parked cars "

"Comfortable beds, powerful shower, secure garden, peaceful location. Very good kitchen facilities. Plenty of places close by to visit. 3 pubs in the village and a Co-op. Beach just outside the village next to lifeboat station. 1 min in car or can walk. Everywhere yougo is very dog friendly. Relaxing break in home from home style cottage."

"Bathroom really small hand basin no cold water bed was lumpy sofo was broken narrow stairwell thought i had asked for easy access no where to sit outside awkward access into property my girlfriend struggled to get in and struggled upstairs and water pipes running across top of a plug socket"

"Really lovely property. Cosy and welcoming. Beds were great. Lovely care package for us when we arrived. Shower could do with renovation and the oven a clean (it wasn't horrendous) but we would happily book this place again "

"Lovely twixmas weekend stay for 2 and a dog, great location, minutes away from the beach, pub a couple of minutes in the other direction. Cosy cottage with a fireplace (wood provided) well presented and lovely decor. One very minor point I didn’t like was the clear glass panel on the main door giving a view straight into the cottage, a curtain or frosting would give more privacy "
