"I stayed with my two kids 9 and 13 and they loved it. Amazing place with lovely people that staff it, we enjoyed being able to book the private onsen for half hour on the first night and although we couldn’t book it for the second (no times suitable as we had a early morning check out) we got to try their public onsen which was great too. The food is fabulous if you are up for trying different things but I would say it’s a lot of food so don’t eat too much for lunch! Both my kids have peanut...

The property is a little dated and the onsen was not the cleanest we experienced in Japan but the rooms were clean, comfortable and the location is beautiful. "The hotel is pretty nice and super friendly staffs but no taxi service,very very limited restaurant around the hotel.we had to walk to restaurant but well everywhere is hills.I don't know maybe July is not the season,so most of restaurants closed early.you should eat dinner before you visit.or there is only sushi(omakase restaurant inside of hotel.closed 8pm. "Located up a steep 45 degree hill, so take the hotel up on their offer when they say they will pick you up! 400m doesn’t seem far until you drag luggage up that hill in 32 degrees Celsius heat and humidity! Booked as a break from the city, and to get views of Mount Fuji from the cable car ride accessible from the nearby station. Loved our stay! Room food and staff all excellent. We should have booked longer to explore the area in more detail and loved relaxing in the open air bath."
