Amazing place with lovely people that staff it, we enjoyed being able to book the private onsen for half hour on the first night and although we couldn’t book it for the second (no times suitable as we had a early morning check out) we got to try their public onsen which was great too. The property is a little dated and the onsen was not the cleanest we experienced in Japan but the rooms were clean, comfortable and the location is beautiful. There are not a lot of dining options nearby so I recommend the half board plan. The breakfast and dinner was lovely."

"The hotel is pretty nice and super friendly staffs but no taxi service,very very limited restaurant around the hotel.we had to walk to restaurant but well everywhere is hills.I don't know maybe July is not the season,so most of restaurants closed early.you should eat dinner before you visit.or there is only sushi(omakase restaurant inside of hotel.closed 8pm. But the breakfast is good"
