"Room was small but very tidy, it had everything we needed. Bed wasn’t the comfiest but ok for one night. The view was amazing, high over other houses the countryside stretched for miles. Don’t book if you don’t like heights. "The person that met me seemed very disinterested. The room they gave me didn't match the pictures on Hotels.com. It was tiny, I wouldn't have booked it if the pictures had shown the correct room. "Tim and Shelia were wonderful hosts. We stayed for a few nights in The Shippen, there self catering cottage. There was four of us, 2 adults and 2 kids and it was perfect mini break. The grounds of the house were lovely with chickens roaming and the house was just up from the tidal creek. The area was lovely and rural and quiet but still had a fantastic pub in the village and not to far drive from some shops. Vest if all were some of the fantastic beaches that were still quiet even in half term....

Close to Burgh Island which I could just see the top of from my upstairs bedroom window. "I’ve been going to the south hams for decades and we were visiting family for a long weekend. We decided to stay at stancombe farm as we wanted the flexibility of eating in and out. Our accomodation was really well equipped and we cooked a few times and had everything we needed. Microwave, Nespresso, dishwasher. The cupboards had all the little items you often need salt, pepper, vinegar. Location wise just above Chillington. A real credit to the owner. We will be back."
