"Set high up on the side of a mountain, you have beautiful views from your room and property. The rooms are older but go with the setting and are very comfortable. The staff is outstanding. Graciela and Brayanni were so helpful and fun to talk to. They both truly made our stay incredible. There is a daily breakfast, which was outstanding. "A bit cramped but for exploring Funchal the location is excellent- we booked a room with a double bed and got a room with two singles which spoilt our arrival but we got a double bed the next night after contacting Expedia. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but it sufficed"
