"I stayed at Casa Lila for a week and had a wonderful time. I loved my room. Very nice breakfast (delicious fresh orange juice). Very nice terrasses. Great location. The staff is lovely and very helpful. I visited the in-house spa and hammam twice. It's not cheap but it was wonderful. I recommend whole heartedly this place and would visit again. "A mixed review. We had to book two rooms as we are engaged but not married. We paid for two, but only used one. Apparently their culture and Norms. No mention of this on hotels.com website. The hotel is in real need of a good deep clean and an update. It was filthy. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The price was good and the breakfast was very good and is included in the rate. "It’s an old charming riad of the 18 century. Close to everything and it has a nice view of the beach and the medina. "

"Centered in the heart of the Medina. Very warm welcome on arrival. Beautiful traditional Riad feel from when you walk through the door. Be prepared for many steps to climb or be sure to ask for a room on lower floors. Extremely spacious room. Nicely laid out. Traditional bathroom though no actual shower, only a shower head laying in the bath and no shower curtain which proved awkward and inconvenient. You don't get flat screen TVs and mini bars but you do get a comfy clean bed, a simple breakfast and a warm welcome from the owner as well as a great location to explore Essauoira from. For the money paid, this is an absolute bargain. It is not 5 star luxury but if you just want a bed for the night you really can't go wrong"
