"If you are looking for Sicialian Old World charm, this hotel has it in spades. It is quiet, elegant and tucked away in an unlikely setting. The surrounding buildings and street do not vibe with beautiful hotel. Although it was a short walk downhill to the Roman amphitheater, the uphill climb is not for someone who would rather not exert themselves. "Pros Location, staff (specially Margarita serving breakfast), cleanliness of the hotel rooms Cons Hotel is very tired and in desperate need of renovation. Although the shower was clean, the mould in the tube made me feel uncomfortable. The rooms can use a few things such as a place for me to use my own hairdryer, apply makeup and box of tissues. "We had a room level with steps leading to two churches and next to two bars and nightclubs. Noisy! Also, our neighbor in the room next door had a cough, which we could hear loud and clear throughout the night. The staff is excellent; the breakfast is mediocre at best. We recommend the hotel due to the outstanding location."
