"If you’re going to Mt Fuji, then try this side of the mountain and stay at this place. This ryoken (traditional Japanese Inn) has everything a ryoken would typically have, but also an onsen on the first floor. Having a bath in the onsen after seeing Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji on your front steps is something I'll never forget, and cant wait to experience again. "I arrived to JR Yase station and they picked me up (pre-arrange by messaging them). I loved the breakfast and dinners they cooked. The food was fresh, delicious, and authentically Japanese. Lunch isn’t offered, but bring some or go out in town and buy. — the food was delicious! I came on NYE and left Jan 2, 2025. I stayed one night in a tent and one night in an igloo. The igloo is phenomenal and worth the extra cost. They do have English speaking personnel on site and when you message them....

"The room was a very nice size for Japan. It is easiest to arrive by taxi, but only about 10-15 minutes walk from a couple bus stops. It was about 15-20 minutes walk to good restaurants and shops. It was a nice play to stay. "
