"The hotel has beautiful grounds, the bar, restaurant and swimming facilities are very nice. Our room was basic but clean and the bed was comfy. We don’t pay extra for views as the room was only to sleep in. The service at the bar was a bit slow and the flooring in the corridors and our room was all very uneven….it was so noticeable when you were just walking around the room / corridor you were aware of sloping. Hotel was a bit old fashioned but stayed in plenty of other hotels in the area and...

"Hreat welcome and room was clean and good dize , bit tired but old hotel. Spa was readon chose hotel and had no availability on treatments- perhaps an email when booked to advise us to book ahead to avoid disappointment The steam room was plasticy ans sadly no sauna, would not return , still to try breakfast "

However, we were a bit disappointed because we had booked and prepaid the 5-course tasting menu for diner at the hotel restaurant, which was canceled by the hotel, without any communication to us. "

We met the owner who has such a passion for her hotel . Rooms were fab and very clean , just recently upgraded to such a high standard and very reasonable rate.we will defo be back again."

"To start with the positive, the staff at the reception was extremely friendly and helpful and the view is amazing. The property is well outdated and run down (1980s). The outdoor hallway is a desaster area. There are no restaurants, coffees, shops etc. open in the evening which would typically be the arrival time The hotel next door is the most unfriendly place I have ever come across..... they do not serve Highland Club Residents and therefore there is nothing you can get to eat within 45!...
