"It's a budget hotel in a port city. If that's what you love then you'll know this is your place. We went to the night market every night and used the train every day to get to where we need to go in the entire Taipei metro. There is 24 hr pharmacy and convenience store right downstairs. Why pay Taipei rates when you can live in Keelung and watch people wash freshly caught fish on the sidewalk. I'm from a fishing port and this is my home. "

"Probably not the hotel to stay in if you drive. The road leading to hotel is extremely narrow, so stopping to load and unload luggage is a challenge. Parking is also a distant away, and it was full when I arrived leading to quite a bit of wait. Right beside the hotel is a highway ramp, and so there is traffic noise which was thankfully still acceptable but definitely not for light sleepers. Lots food options around the area with morning and night market within walking distance."

"Okay walking distance from the train station, but check-in was terrible. I didn’t receive any details until standing outside on a rainy day trying to figure out how to call a local phone number, which was eventually answered by someone who only speaks Chinese.
