"Okay walking distance from the train station, but check-in was terrible. I didn’t receive any details until standing outside on a rainy day trying to figure out how to call a local phone number, which was eventually answered by someone who only speaks Chinese. After an awkward minute on the phone they hung up, but a few minutes later I finally got instructions on how to get inside. "A surprisingly beautiful heritage house renovated into 3 rooms, with windows retained. The way it was built, the decor, and the house was designed by the hospitable host's husband. There was a pond with frogs and crabs in front and at the back of the house. Breakfast included a rice burger. Cozy. The host even showed us the room next door with the original kitchen and oven! This was better than a nice hotel because of how the host took care of us."
