"The newly renovated Tropicana was having a soft opening. Staff was a little green and not all the rooms were open. That said it is still a lovely place and a wonderful location to visit old town San Jose del Cabo. Staff was very anxious to make our stay overnight a wonderful experience and they did! Have stayed at the Tropicana off and on for 30 years!"

"Beautiful quiet location on the beach. The rooms are very dated though with poor quality beds, no bolt to lock the room door. The value is good so we sleep here but eat off the property."

"Great hotel if you want breakfast included and save money, but if you stay here, rent a car so you can get to places. We had to uber and it was $30-45 dollars to the marina ever time and we would have to get 2 ubers since there was 12 of us. The hotel was clean and great customer service. "
