It is a bit easier if you have a little japanese, but that isnt a barrier. Try and have the address in japanese with you , so you can show it to locals , or the piceman on duty in the police box nearby . "This hotel is pretty much connected to the Shinjuku train station so very convenient to get around (although we hardly used the system, we mostly walked everywhere).
