"What’s lovely place to stay. Large and comfortable room, excellent facilities and a beautiful ambiance. The breakfast was first class and we received a lovely recommendation for a light evening meal nearby. It is very walkable into the centre of York, but at one point we chose to take the bus and that too is both convenient and easy. We would not hesitate to recommend Ascot House and will make it our first choice on any subsequent visit to York. "

"Stayed at the Limes due to working in the area for a few days; great location for getting to the racecourse, parking was ample and the host was fantastic. Very welcoming and friendly, truly made you feel at home and recommended some local eateries for us to try. Would definitely recommend and would 100% stay again."

"The property was in a great location that gave the opportunity to walk into the city or take a bus from outside the property. The property is on the is older but in great condition and the facilities were average for such a property. The staff were friendly and happy to share local knowledge along with their thoughts about venues to visit along with places to eat. "I found no fault with this property! The staff were very friendly but at the same time very hard working. It was easy to use the park and Ride into York and only a short drive to Castle Howard and Stamford Bridge."

"Excellent location. Only issue was lack of food available on the second evening due to staff shortages. ( not really what you want to hear when you are hungry). The bathroom was lovely, however it was a little high to climb into the shower, bath and someone who was suffering with a bad a leg found it hard going, also getting out of the bath/shower there was no hand rail to support.
