"Had a view room - I mean, how can you beat that view? Unfortunately, and the only negative - there was construction being done from 9-5 each day - so there was a lot of noise in the day. The first room we were in had a view of the bridge, but also of the construction. Having spent extra for the view, I asked for a room on a higher floor so as not to see the construction and that was easily accommodated. Staff was nice, location convenient for touristy things, etc."

Unlike some city hotels that lay on specifics for runners like trays of bananas, bottled water etc when an event like this was on there was no acknowledgment but considering the amount of London hotels they all can’t. "We enjoyed our week stay at the Clermont. Staff were very accommodating and nice. Our mini bar was replenished everyday for free. That was a big plus! Although we haven’t really emptied the whole thing. It was nice coming back to a clean room filled with goodies from a busy day out walking around and sightseeing. The location was very convenient for us with a kid in tow. It is a few minutes walk to victoria station that is connected to a shopping mall with convenience stores, ready to eat...
