"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

Good points: wheelchair accessible, spacious and clean rooms, good shower, plenty of breakfast choices, and amazing fish and chips! One thing to note when parking, don't use the app as its cheaper to pay the hotel at the end. This wasn't mentioned during check in so we ended up paying £10 more for the 2 days. "

"I stayed here on New Years Eve 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Stratford. On arrival at the hotel staff couldn’t find my booking; I showed them my confirmation having paid in full. They managed to give us a room, but not sure what would have happened if the hotel was fully booked? Our room was very dated, could do with some modernisation. But overall good value for money. "

"We had a really pleasant stay at Penryn Guest House. The room and en suit was a nice size, clean and comfortable! It’s within reasonable walking distance to the town centre too. We would definitely stay there again! "
